Stephanie Powell is an Interior and Lifestyle Stylist for photo shoots, for both Advertising and Editorial clients. Creating beautiful and emotive interiors that inspire and captivate. After studying BA Honours Textile Design at the University of Central England, she went on to do a placement at The World of Interiors magazine, which laid the foundation for her successful career working in the world of editorial magazines and interior design.
Working at one of Britain’s most popular modern homes magazines, Livingetc provided her with a well-rounded education on Interior Styling, where she worked her way up to Style Editor. She published lengthy design features, styled high-end houses, produced inspirational trend stories and styled best-selling front covers. Most importantly, working at Livingetc taught her how to create a lifestyle everyone wants to buy into.
Stephanie has a keen eye for composition, colour, form, texture, and colour, and loves researching, sketching, and conceptualizing ideas. Her ability to source amazing products and materials, enables her to create stunning interiors that are ahead of the trends.
Growing up in the countryside with a great love of the outdoors, she’s inspired by nature and the ocean, often adding organic pieces into an interior, to soften architectural spaces.
After eight years of working in London, Stephanie came to Australia to do some styling work, drawn by the beautiful natural light and vast outdoor spaces seen in Vogue Living. Stephanie fell in love with Australia and now calls it her home. She lives in Killcare with her husband and two children but regularly commutes to Sydney to style magazine and advertorial shoots. Stephanie also works as a residential interior designer.
Stephanie's sunny approach to every project and her highly organised nature, coupled with her attention to detail, make her an excellent addition to any team. She takes great pleasure in creativing feel-good interiors, combining furniture and accessories to create breathtaking emotive images that capture people's imagination. Creating rooms that are both practical and beautiful, resulting in interiors that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also highly functional.
